Beautiful Music in Difficult Times March 27

SIREN is a baroque group based in New York. The all-female group early music ensemble says its mission is, “… luring audiences to the irresistible music of the Baroque.” They’re performing Beautiful Music  with a guest collaborator, lutenist Daniel Swenberg, from a concert called “The Life of Antonia Padoni Bembo.” The Italian singer and composer’s lifetime was 1640-1710, and she moved to France, where she taught music and started composing music she dedicated to King Louis XIV. In addition to listening to SIREN performing Antonia Bembo’s music, you can read more about the composer and the ensemble.
