Beautiful Music in Difficult Times April 14

On April 14, 1611, the word “telescope” was first used, a term coined at a banquet hosted by the Italian scientist and naturalist Prince Federico Cesi. To put that into some historical perspective, 1611 was also the year that Carlo Gesualdo composed his 6-voice sacred work, Aestimatus sum, responsory  W. 7/87. Today’s Beautiful Music is a March 2015 performance of the work by TENET Vocal Artists at Good Shepherd-Faith Presbyterian Church in NYC.
