Capel Bond

Capel Bond – he was a VERY successful musician and entrepreneur in 18th century England. Born in 1730, he came of age right as the baroque era was waning. Bond was a church organist for his entire adult life, a concert organizer, and a music festival founder. You’ll hear one of the only surviving compositions by Bond on Sunday Baroque this weekend.

Marco Ricci

Venetian painter Marco Ricci was born in 1676, two years before Antonio Vivaldi. And according to some accounts, his paintings inspired Vivaldi to compose his Four Seasons concertos. Vivaldi took it to the next level and paired a Sonnet with each of his Concertos.
