I can’t wait for you to hear/see today’s Beautiful Music! Violinist Angèle Dubeau and her group, La Pietà, give an exciting performance of DANSE MACABRE by Camille Saint-Saëns. The prize-winning Canadian violinist studied at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal and the Juilliard School of Music, and in 1997 she founded her all-women string ensemble La Pietà. Their mission includes their “quest for virtuosity” and their desire to make “outstanding music accessible to all audiences.” Their repertory spans baroque music right through contemporary compositions, all performed with virtuosity and verve.
