Originally presented in November 2018, today’s Beautiful Music is an excerpt from the opera ALCINA by Francesca Caccini. It’s believed to be the first opera by a woman composer! The recent Boston Early Music Festival presented encore performances of ALCINA. Now the production will go on tour to Great Barrington, MA on June 23 and 24 and Katonah, NY on June 25.
