The Harlem Chamber Players brighten up this Sunday with STARBURST — Beautiful Music composed by Jessie Montgomery. The acclaimed violinist, composer, and teacher was born and raised in Manhattan’s Lower East Side in the 1980s. Her parents were creative artists in the community — her mother as a theater artist and storyteller and her father as a musician. Jessie Montgomery is one of today’s most exciting creative artists. STARBURST was originally composed in 2012 for string orchestra, and arranged in 2020 for chamber ensemble by Jannina Norpoth.
