Beautiful Music NOW – July 20, 2022

Oboist Debra Nagy, founder and artistic director of the early music group Les Délices, was recently given Early Music America’s Laurette Goldberg Award for achievement in early music outreach. Motivated by her desire to address recent social unrest and the restrictions of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Debra Nagy initiated numerous projects, including creating a webseries variety show for early music called SalonEra. Today’s Beautiful Music features Debra Nagy’s arrangement of Chanson Nègre by Jean Jacques Rousseau. She is also one of the performers, along with baritone Jean Bernard Cerin, cellist Eve Miller, and guitarist Richard Stone. Use the link below to learn more about the award for her important work.
