One question I’m frequently asked is for my recommendations for recordings. And at this time of year, many of us are seeking ideas for gift-giving, too, so I started the annual Sunday Baroque Holiday Gift List. I choose some of the outstanding recent recording releases that I want you to know about — some are new recordings of famous and beloved works, and some are by less well-known composers. They are ALL top-notch performers, and it’s great listening even if the only “gift” is the gift you give yourself time to listen.
