Today’s Beautiful Music is the Sinfonia from the opera PALLADE E MARTE, composed in 1713 by Maria Margherita Grimani. She was an Italian composer who worked in Vienna, was the first woman to have her opera performed at the Vienna court theater. This performance from the 1980s is given by New England Women’s Symphony, conducted by Jeanne Lamon.
