February is National Bird Feeding Month, and Sunday Baroque will celebrate with baroque music about birds and imitating birdsongs, including cuckoos, nightingales and goldfinches. This program is for the birds!

On this last weekend before Christmas, Sunday Baroque will feature baroque holiday music to make your last-minute cooking, cleaning and preparations a little more pleasant as you hum along. The offerings will include selections from the Sunday Baroque Holiday Gift List.

Dancing was immensely popular in the baroque era, and we’ll take a spin around the dance floor this weekend.

There are many fine performing ensembles in the United States specializing in baroque and early music, and Sunday Baroque will feature some of these all-American musical groups. On this weekend when the clocks “fall back” and daylight saving time ends, spend your “extra” hour enjoying the music on Sunday Baroque.

In anticipation of the little devils who will be haunting your neighborhood and ringing your doorbell in search of candy this Halloween, Sunday Baroque is featuring the DEVIL’S TRILL SONATA by Giuseppe Tartini and other musical treats.

In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue. .. the first Columbus Day celebration in this country took place in 1792, and Sunday Baroque will mark the holiday weekend with music from Columbus’s time in the late 15th century, and a musical portrayal of a stormy sea like Columbus and his crew might have encountered.

September 28th is National Good Neighbor Day, and Sunday Baroque will use the occasion to feature some of our good neighbors to the north: outstanding Canadian ensembles and musicians who specialize in playing baroque and early music.
