Masaaki Suzuki is an organist, harpsichordist, and conductor. The Kobe, Japan native became a church organist as a teenager, and pursued his musical studies in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, before returning home to found the Bach Collegium of Japan. You’ll hear Masaaki Suzuki leading his ensemble playing music by their namesake on Sunday Baroque this weekend.

Anna Bon was an 18th century Venetian woman — she was still a teenager when she started working as a musician in the court of Frederick the Great of Prussia. At about the same time she also published her first set of compositions – six flute sonatas that she dedicated to her musically inclined royal patron. You’ll hear one of them on Sunday Baroque this weekend.
