Gaelynn Lea is a violinist who won NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert competition in 2016. It helped propel the musician’s career, with gigs such as composing the music for MACBETH on Broadway, and . Gaelynn Lea is also Disability Rights activist and speaker. She was born with the genetic condition osteogenesis imperfecta, and plays her violin upright in front of her, similar to the way a cello is played.
