Agave Baroque is a terrific ensemble based in California. They are not only fine musicians, they are innovators in crafting interesting and meaningful programs. Their Grammy-nominated 2021 album AMERICAN ORIGINALS: A NEW WORLD – A NEW CANON featured the brilliant countertenor Reginald Mobley singing a varied program of music by Florence Price, Scott Joplin, Justin Holland, José Mauricio Nuñes Garcia, William Marshall Hutchison, Manuel de Zumaya, and Esteban Salas y Castro. The latter — a Cuban composer of the baroque era — composed this motet TAEDET ANIMAM MEAM. It’s today’s Beautiful Music!
