František Jiránek was a Czech (Bohemian) Baroque musician who lived from 1698–1778. As a young man he went to Venice to study music, and he’s thought to have been a student of Antonio Vivaldi. Today’s Beautiful Music features František Jiránek’s Concerto in C major for oboe, strings and basso continuo arranged for baroque flute in D major. Flutist Jana Semerádová and Collegium Marianum made this recording in 2021.
