As a flute player, I am always giddy with excitement to discover flute music I didn’t know about! Today I’m sharing Beautiful Music by Joseph Bolougne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. He was born in 1745 — just five years before the “official” end of the baroque era — and only lived until 1799. Chevalier de Saint-Georges was not only an accomplished musician, he was also an expert swordsman. I hope you enjoy this Sonata played by flutist Amélie Michel and harpist Sandrine Chatron as much as I do!
