Johann Sebastian Bach’s Six Brandenburg Concertos are some of the greatest hits of baroque music, and there are many MANY recordings of them. Today’s Beautiful Music offering is a particularly lovely performance of Bach’s 4th Brandenburg Concerto. It has unique delicacy and clarity. This performance is given by flutists Demarre McGill and Sooyun Kim, violist Hsin-Yun Huang, violinists Erin Keefe, Adam Barnett-Hart, and Arnaud Sussmann, bassist Daxun Zhang, and cellist Laurence Lesser.
My goodness, you are right. It is particularly lovely. Precise and light on its feet, but not floating away. The rhythm section seem to keep it on the ground, if that makes sense! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
