Are you familiar with Francesca Caccini? She was born a composer, singer, lutenist, and poet, born in Florence in 1587 who lived until 1641. Her father Giulio was also a composer and singer. She was prolific as a composer of Beautiful Music, although not all of her music has survived the century.
