Something fun for you today! When I was newly in the radio business, I acquired a recording called BAROQUE AND ON THE STREET. It featured guitarist Frederic Hand and other fine musicians playing baroque era music by Antonio Vivaldi and others on guitar, banjo, flute, recorder, soprano saxophone and mandolin. It was charming and fun, as well as impressive for the fine musicianship of the instrumentalists on it. I credit that recording with sparking my fondness for recordings that mix it up. So today I offer you a snippet of BAROQUE AND ON THE STREET, along with a selection from BEATLES GO BAROQUE, a “Beatles Concerto” — baroque styled arrangement of music by the Fab Four.
