Today’s Beautiful Music is a serene and uplifting performance by bass-baritone Dashon Burton of Franz Schubert’s LITANEI. The American singer studied at Case Western Reserve University and graduated from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, and Yale University’s Institute of Sacred Music. The Grammy-winning musician has a broad and varied repertory, with his favorites including Johann Sebastian Bach’s St. John and St. Matthew Passions and Mass in B Minor, Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony no. 9, Johannes Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem.
