Beautiful Music in Difficult TImes December 6

You may be familiar with the Huron Carol (aka “Twas in the Moon of Wintertime”), which dates back to 1643. It was written by Jesuit priest Saint Jean de Brébeuf (1593-1649) in Wendat (the Huron language), in which its title is Jesous Ahatonhia (“Jesus, he is born”), and uses a melody from an old French song. Jean de Brébeuf was a French missionary in Canada, where he lived as part of the Huron community. This performance of the Huron Carol by Heather Dale is in Wendat. Beautiful Music for the Christmas season!
