From the time he was just a little boy, listening to his father make music, Julian Bream was drawn to music. For his 11th birthday, Julian Bream received his own guitar, and showed an instant aptitude for playing it. As an internationally acclaimed performer, he helped put guitar, as well as lute, on the musical map. In 1960 he formed the Julian Bream Consort, a period-instrument ensemble with Bream as lutenist. Julian Bream died today, so we are celebrating his remarkable career and long life with some of his performances of Beautiful Music, as well as a documentary about his life.
Have always loved his playing, which was my introduction to classical guitar.
One of the best 🙂
