On August 1, 1714 England’s Queen Anne died. For her funeral service, some of William Croft’s music was performed. (Croft’s music was also played at the April 2021 funeral of Prince Philip) Today’s Beautiful Music features The Madrigal Singers led Itay Berckovitch, with organist Marisa Meckier, performing Croft’s BURIAL SENTENCES.
