Today is Veteran’s Day, and this year marks the centennial commemoration of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Tomb at Arlington National Cemetery was initially dedicated by the Army on Armistice Day, November 11, 1921. The marvelous singer David Pittsinger’s late father was a Guard at the Tomb, and he commissioned Scott Eyerly to compose this Beautiful Music called ARLINGTON SONS. [full disclosure: David Pittsinger was my esteemed classmate in the music department at The University of Connecticut!] This performance of ARLINGTON SONS features David and his son Richard, also an accomplished singer like his parents, with the United States Air Force Band.
