Lucrezia Orsina Vizzana was an early 17th century Italian singer, organist, and composer. She went to a convent in Bologna in 1598, where she took music lessons from her aunt, who was the convent organist. Eventually she herself became a nun AND a composer. You’ll hear some of Donna Lucrezia Vizzana’s compositions on Sunday Baroque this weekend.
